Pets are domestic animals that stay with us as our companions. They stay beside us during our happy and sad times, just like how a human friend would. The commitment of bringing a dog into your house raises many concerns regarding several various issues. Some of them are listed below.
THEY ARE HUGE
Akita dogs are known for their strength and bulky body from Japanese ancestry and were famous for their bravery, nobility and fidelity. Cute Akita pups can be cuddlesome, but they later grow into big dogs. It’s a bad idea to adopt Akita puppies if you have a smaller house or a house with no backyard. Male Ankita dogs can weigh up to 140kg, whereas the female Akita can weigh 10kg less than the male dog. They are revered as the symbol of good well-being, peace of mind and long life in their homeland.
THEY ARE NOISELESS DOGS UNLESS THERE ARE CAUSES TO BE OR ELSE
Akita dogs are quiet and polite but only bark when they sense danger or alien presence at home. Some of the Akita dogs whine or mutter to try to communicate with you, but not all of them. They are just not talkative. If you hear Akita dog barking, you better be mindful.
TINY ANIMALS ARE OFTEN THEIR HUNT
They prey on smaller animals. They are bred and nourished to hunt and catch animals smaller in size. It’s a bad idea to have a pet cat or smaller dog simultaneously as an Akita dog.
THEY ARE CAPRICIOUS DOGS
It will be an understatement to say all Akita dogs are calm and tranquil. Nevertheless, Akita dogs do get temperamental now and then for various causes. They like to have control over things and can be pretty bossy and stubborn. They are alpha dogs and don’t get along with other dogs of the same gender. Eye contact longer than a few seconds can make them aggressive. They can behave quite belligerent if they are intimidated by other’s presence.
HOW THEY SHOULD BE TRAINED
Akita dogs should be well trained from a young age. They are quick to learn, which means they can adapt bad habits as quickly as good habits. They should be prepared with gentle and firm hands because they don’t react well to rude behaviour. They take teaching and training quite seriously, so they should be over trained, and training should be consistent.
THEY ARE LOVING AND CARING TO THEIR FAMILY
If Akita dogs are trained and taught accordingly, they are the sweetest dogs you will ever live with. Loyalty and protection of their family is their priority. They are calm and tranquil, friendly and fun-loving; they maintain cleanliness and hygiene. Their almond-sized eyes with dark-rimmed circles around them, a small black nose and a tight mouth make it irresistible to stay away from them. Akita dogs cannot stay away from their family for a long time, and a cuddle session with you is happiness to them.
Akita dogs are the best breed if appropriately trained from a young age to spend time with. Their love and loyalty for their family make them the best breed of dog to adopt out there.
